Some time ago, I said here that the Taleban had offered to hand over bin Laden, and that Bush rejected the idea. I was asked where I got that 'rubbish' (I paraphrase).

The Taliban offered to turn bin Laden over to a third party. President Bush had made it clear that this was NOT an option. This is supported by your link.

By the way, how do you figure you'll get away with a sarcastic comment sreferring to CNN as a "well-known bastion of al Qaeda support".
